This workshop is geared towards elders and their adult children to help them become better informed, more self sufficient and confident in making critical decisions regarding the life altering impact of growing old and losing independence. During the workshop, we review the medical, psychological, cognitive (dementia, Alzheimer's), social, financial, legal and spiritual considerations of elders; how to access local resources, select the right facility or homecare provider. I also have tips on how to be an effective advocate for elder parents.

Instructor: Vic Kingsley, Dedham resident, member of Livable Dedham, and healthcare executive with 25 years experience in senior living and medical care services in the Greater Boston Area.
